About

About Death Note The Musical

Death Note The Musical brings Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s manga to London in collaboration with original producers HoriPro. The story follows brilliant student Light Yagami, who finds a notebook that can determine life and death, setting off a tense battle of wits with the elusive detective L.

The production features a score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, the source material is widely known, and this staging turns its central question into a live theatre experience built around choice, consequence and power.

The tagline sums up the premise clearly: write a name, change the world.

Duration: Approximately 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
