About Death Note The Musical
Death Note The Musical is a stage adaptation of the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, presented in London in collaboration with original producers HoriPro. It follows brilliant student Light Yagami after he discovers a notebook with the power over life and death, and sets up a battle of wits with the elusive detective L as he tries to reshape the world.
The production features a score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, with lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell. The manga has sold over 30 million copies worldwide, and the show brings that story to the stage with its central focus on the consequences of every name written in the notebook.
