Death Note The Musical is being presented in London and brings Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata’s manga to the stage. The story follows brilliant student Light Yagami after he finds a notebook with the power over life and death, setting off a battle of wits with the elusive detective L.
With over 30 million copies sold worldwide, the manga is reimagined for London in collaboration with original producers HoriPro. The production features a score by Tony, Grammy and Emmy nominee Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Jack Murphy and a book by Ivan Menchell.
The story asks what happens when one person tries to reshape the world by writing names into the notebook. It centres on Light’s quest and the escalating consequences that follow.
Duration: Approximately 2h 20mins, including a 20-minute interval. Age guidance: 12+; no under 5s will be admitted.
