My Son’s A Queer (But What Can You Do?) is an autobiographical show from West End musical theatre star and social-media sensation Rob Madge. It centres on the Disney parade Rob tried to stage at home for their grandma when they were twelve.
The story brings back the characters and costumes from that day, with Rob performing as Mary Poppins, Ariel, Mickey Mouse and Belle. Family roles are part of the picture too, with Dad as Stage Manager, Sound Technician and Goofy, and Mum mistaking Aladdin for Ursula.
Awarded Best Off-West End Production 2022 by WhatsOnStage, the show follows Rob’s attempt to recreate that parade.
Running time: 1 hour 5 minutes.
Shaftesbury Ave, Soho, London W1D 7EZ.
