My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?) is Rob Madge’s autobiographical show about a full-blown Disney parade they staged at home for their Grandma when they were twelve. The story follows Rob as they play Mary Poppins, Ariel, Mickey Mouse and Belle, while their Dad takes on roles including Stage Manager, Sound Technician and Goofy.
The show revisits the mishaps of that day, from missed cues to costumes that went awry, while keeping the family setting at its centre. It is described as a joyous story from West End Musical Theatre star and social-media sensation Rob Madge.
It was awarded Best Off-West End Production 2022 by WhatsOnStage.
Running time: 1 hour 5 minutes.
