About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End. Mischief’s spy caper returns for a limited 8-week season this summer, following a sold-out 2025 summer run, and won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.

Set in a 1960s world of double agents and mixed-up identities, the story begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon. CIA and KGB spies converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file, alongside a clueless young couple and a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role.

The show comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
