About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End for a limited 8-week summer season. It comes from Mischief, the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.

The show follows a rogue British agent who steals plans for a top-secret weapon, prompting CIA and KGB spies to converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel. A clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role and a group of double agents add to the confusion.

It won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026 and is set as a 1960s spy escapade built around confused missions, tangled identities and miscommunication.

Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
