About The Comedy About Spies
The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End. Mischief’s award-winning play returns for a limited 8-week summer run following a sold-out 2025 summer season.
The story begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon, drawing CIA and KGB spies to London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file. A clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, and a crowded web of double agents are all pulled into the confusion.
This 1960s spy comedy comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery. It was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.
Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
