About The Comedy About Spies
The Comedy About Spies at the Adelphi Theatre, London, is Mischief’s 1960s spy comedy about a rogue British agent who steals plans for a top-secret weapon, bringing CIA and KGB spies to the Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file. A clueless young couple and a hapless actor looking for a spy film role are drawn into a mission that quickly gets out of hand.
From the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, this production returned to London’s West End for a limited eight-week run after a sold-out 2025 summer season. It was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.
Running time: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
