The Comedy About Spies at the Adelphi Theatre in London is a 1960s spy comedy from Mischief, the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery. After a sold-out 2025 summer season, it returns for a limited 8-week run in the West End.
When a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon, CIA and KGB spies descend on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in search of the missing file. The story follows a clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, and a cast of double agents caught in a rapidly escalating mess of confusion, mistaken identities and crossed signals.
The production was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.
