The Comedy About Spies at the Adelphi Theatre is Mischief’s spy comedy set in London’s Piccadilly Hotel, where a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon and CIA and KGB spies converge in pursuit of the missing file. The story follows a clueless young couple, a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, and a web of double agents in a mission that quickly gets out of control.
This limited 8-week run returns to London’s West End after a sold-out 2025 summer season. It is from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, and won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026.
The comedy is set in the 1960s and has been described by press as fast-moving and very funny, with tangled identities, confused missions and miscommunication driving the action.
Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.
Age guidance: recommended for ages 10+. Children under 4 will not be admitted into the theatre.
Tickets: no exchanges or refunds.
