About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies is playing at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End. Mischief’s spy comedy returns for a limited eight-week run this summer, following a sold-out 2025 summer season.

The show is set in the 1960s and follows a rogue British agent who steals plans for a top-secret weapon, bringing CIA and KGB spies to London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file. The story also involves a clueless young couple and a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role, with the action built around confused missions, tangled identities and miscommunication.

The production was named Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026 and comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
