About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies plays at the Adelphi Theatre in London. Mischief’s comedy returns to the West End for a limited 8-week run this summer, with a 1960s spy story that begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon and CIA and KGB spies converge on the Piccadilly Hotel.

From the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, the show was awarded Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026. The plot follows a clueless young couple, a hapless actor looking for a spy film role, and a web of double agents, confused missions and mistaken identities.
