About The Comedy About Spies

The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End. Mischief’s spy comedy returns for a limited 8-week run this summer, following a sold-out 2025 summer season.

From the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery, the show won Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026. It is set in the 1960s and centres on a rogue British agent who steals plans for a top-secret weapon.

CIA and KGB spies then converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file, alongside a clueless young couple and a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role. The result is a fast-moving comedy of confused missions, tangled identities and miscommunication.

Running time: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20-minute interval.
