The Comedy About Spies is at the Adelphi Theatre in London’s West End for a limited eight-week run this summer. Mischief’s spy comedy was awarded Best New Play at the WhatsOnStage Awards 2026 and comes from the team behind The Play That Goes Wrong, Peter Pan Goes Wrong and The Comedy About a Bank Robbery.
Set in the 1960s, the story begins when a rogue British agent steals plans for a top-secret weapon. CIA and KGB spies then converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of the missing file, alongside a clueless young couple and a hapless actor hoping for a spy film role. The result is a fast-moving comic mission built around confused identities, tangled plans and miscommunication.
Described as a breathlessly funny spy escapade, the show follows its sold-out 2025 summer season in London.
Duration: 2 hours 20 minutes, including a 20 minute interval.
Age guidance: recommended for ages 10 and over. Children under the age of 4 will not be admitted into the theatre.
Cancellations: no exchanges or refunds.
