

Tao Of Glass at 4 Soho Place in London is the West End premiere of a part-concert, part-performance work by composer Philip Glass and performer-director Phelim McDermott. It explores life, loss and the question of where true inspiration comes from, drawing on ten meditations on life, death and Taoist wisdom.
The show combines ten brand new pieces of music from Glass with McDermott’s storytelling, performed with an ensemble of musicians and puppeteers. It is produced by Factory International, Improbable and Nica Burns.
It has received five-star reviews from The Guardian, The Times and What’s On Stage, with four stars from The Telegraph, The Observer and The Arts Desk.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes, including an interval. Runs: 25 July to 12 September.
