About Tao Of Glass
Tao Of Glass at 4 Soho Place, Charing Cross Road, London, is a West End premiere exploring life, loss and the question of where true inspiration comes from. It is the latest and most personal collaboration between composer Philip Glass and performer-director Phelim McDermott of Improbable.
Inspired by a dream, the production combines ten meditations on life, death and Taoist wisdom with ten new pieces of music from Glass. Presented by McDermott with an ensemble of musicians and puppeteers, it is a part-concert, part-performance produced by Factory International, Improbable and Nica Burns.
The Guardian, The Times and What’s On Stage gave the show five stars, with four-star notices from The Telegraph, The Observer and The Arts Desk.
