Voices of the City is a three-part speaker series at the DMU UN SDG Hub, Leicester. It's centred on the experiences and issues shaping the city. It brings people together to share ideas, hear local voices, and spark conversations that can lead to real change.
The series begins on 30th April with The Power of Women, focusing on the experiences and impact of women in Leicester.
On 7th May, the Sports Perspectives event explores how sport influences identity, opportunity, and community across the city.
The final session on 14th May, the Violence From Awareness to Action event, looks at understanding violence in Leicester and what can be done to create safer environments.
Each event features guest speakers sharing personal insights connected to Leicester, making the series both relevant and thought-provoking.
