The Techno Tunnel invites a true UK techno originator to Exeter on August 28th....

Alex Hazzardhas been immersed in underground electronic music since the late '80s, emerging during the formative years of UK techno and remaining committed to its evolution ever since.

A DJ, producer and lifelong record collector, his approach has always been driven by the underground rather than the mainstream. Decades spent behind the decks and in the studio have shaped a style built on groove, tension and subtle progression - music designed for long blends, tight mixes, dark rooms and powerful sound systems.

During the 1990s, Alex was a resident DJ at Eurobeat 2000, widely regarded as the UK's longest-running pure techno club night, as well as performances at iconic raves including Dreamscape and Helter Skelter. He's released music across four decades under several aliases, evolving from early UK techno and rave into the deep, hypnotic and groove-led sound that defines his work today.
