Headsticks head into 2027 with a brand new studio album due, and also fast approaching the 15th anniversary of their first gig, which was way back in September of 2012.
The band's line up has remained the same for the entirety, and in that period they have amassed a loyal and exuberant following, having played high profile supports and tour supports with the likes of New Model Army, The Undertones, Terrorvision, The Men They Couldn't Hang, Steve Ignorant's CRASS (full European Tour) and Spear Of Destiny to name just a few.
In recent years the band have embraced the opportunities to play, and work their way to headline, many grassroot festivals the length and breadth of the country, as well as gracing some of the most prestigious stages at many of the country's foremost alternative gatherings, including Bearded Theory where they had the honour to headline The Woodland Stage in '25, Beautiful Days, Northern Kin, and Back Doune The Rabbit Hole as well as becoming regulars at Punk Rock's primary gathering, Rebellion Festival.
Last year's 'The Best Thing On TV' album received stunning reviews across the board with Vive Le Rock describing the record as 'The Post Punk album to beat' and Louder Than War citing it as 'Nothing short of a triumph…This is a work of art, and more importantly, it’s a work of honesty'.
The band pride themselves on their ability to cross genres, equally embracing the worlds of punk rock, post punk, folk rock, and good old rock'n'roll. Whether it’s the full throttle, heart pounding stompers, the anthemic singalongs, or the haunting acoustic ballads, Headsticks deliver an experience like no other band, built on honesty, integrity, bloody hard work, and a passion for what they believe.
