At the vanguard were The Chords who were one of the few acts from that time to make a dent in the UK album and singles charts.
Around this time a. Cohort of bands were featured on the, now legendary Mods Mayday 79 album. One of these was South Wales own Beggar and in their current incarnation as The Co-Stars warm up the night
