We’re seriously proud to welcome Don Letts to Volks this March as part of our 30 years of Volks celebrations. 

DJ. Director. Musician. Cultural agitator. For nearly five decades, Don has shaped the sound and the visual language of British counterculture.

As resident DJ at London’s legendary Roxy Club in 1977, he did something seismic. He introduced a generation of punks to reggae, welding together two rebellious movements and helping define the UK’s cultural identity in the process.

Since then? Director of The Punk Rock Movie. Over 300 music videos for The Clash, Bob Marley, Public Image Ltd and more. Grammy winner for Westway to the World. Relentless documenter of subculture, resistance and diasporic voices.

They don’t call him The Rebel Dread for nothing. Expect a heavyweight Letts DJ set. Deep dub, roots reggae, global rhythms and that unmistakable punk attitude. Bass pressure with purpose.
