Devon’s Ellie Finnerty is a globetrotting acoustic singer-songwriter, bringing her unique blend of pop-folk for the first time to her new hometown of Brighton in this exciting debut headline show.
Celebrating a decade of writing original music, this guitar + vocal performance will journey through a narrative of coming-of-age in a small Westcountry town, travelling the world performing on cruise ships, and falling in, and out, and quite possibly back into love. Ellie’s honest, witty, and at times brutal lyricism has been likened to the styles of Kate Nash and Lily Allen, and her latest EP ‘Solar Powered’ has been praised on BBC Introducing in the South West.
Since making Brighton her home in Spring 2025, Ellie has been making waves in the local singer-songwriter scene by busking on the seafront and attending open mic events. This has led to originals performances at Brighton Fringe Festival, YouTube’s ‘Cellar 92 Sessions’, Komedia (as a Special Guest with Luch Stefano), and opening for Hannah Jullian at The Folklore Rooms, as well as many countless cover gigs in pubs and bars around the city, which have honed her skills and built a growing local fan-base. Now she is ready to perform her first ever full-length originals show in this vibrant, musical city.
At this one-off intimate show, you can expect a confident performance from an artist on the rise, with songs both old and new, and always with storytelling at its heart.
