Sea Life Brighton is the world’s oldest operating aquarium, based opposite Brighton Pier and built in 1872. The aquarium is set within original Victorian architecture and traces 150 years of history in one of Brighton’s best-known buildings.
Inside, you can see over 5,000 creatures from Sussex waters and beyond. The collection includes rays, sharks, turtles, terrapins, starfish, seahorses and an anaconda, with animals described as curious, rescued, rare and enigmatic.
