Midweek Madness at SEA LIFE Brighton is set inside the original Victorian architecture of the world’s oldest operating aquarium, which was built in 1872. It is a seafront aquarium experience next to Brighton Pier, combining the building’s historic setting with marine life displays.
The venue says visitors can look out for creatures with dazzling scales, colours and fins. A new ocean experience is also due to open on 25 May, with state-of-the-art technology and a world-first theme.

Disabled access is available at SEA LIFE Brighton. The disabled access entrance is through an underpass from the beach, reached by the ramp down to the beach, which avoids the steps down to the entrance and can also be useful for buggies. A disabled toilet is available. One area, the Ocean Display in the auditorium, does not have full access, although it can also be seen from the accessible Ocean Tunnel.
SEA LIFE Brighton is situated next to Brighton Pier near the seafront. It is approximately a 20-minute walk from Brighton Train Station. The easiest route is to head to the seafront down Queens Road and then turn east towards Brighton Pier. Routes via the North Laines can be quicker, although they can be a bit of a maze.
