LINEUP

The talented Joe Foster joins us as MC alongside headliner Maureen Younger with support from comics Joseph Emslie and Stephen Carlin.

Maureen Younger is frank, fast, feisty, sharp and engaging – honest humour with attitude. In 2023 Maureen reached the finals of British Comedian of the Year and placed third. In 2024 she was one of the acts performing at the Best of British Showcase at the Adelaide Comedy Festival. Maureen works as a stand up comedian and compere all around the UK and abroad and is a regular face at all the major UK Comedy Clubs. 

Joe Foster is a Brighton stand-up comedian whose witty and dry comedy has made him a favourite around the country. He won the Fosters South Coast Comedian Of The Year Competition in 2015, announcing him as one of the new fresh faces of UK comedy.

Joseph Emslie is familiar face on the London comedy scene, performing regular paid sets and MCs across the circuit, earning praise as “definitely a name to keep tabs on” (BRUCE DESSAU). Known for “radiating comic innocence and making great play on his schoolboy looks” (CHORTLE), he mixes self-deprecation with vivid, anecdotal storytelling, a style that has taken him to the finals and semi-finals of numerous competitions, including Amused Moose’s National New Comic Award (2017), So You Think You’re Funny? (2017), the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year Final (2018), and the Union Jack Radio Award, where he finished runner-up in 2021. He also reached the Final of the Musical Comedy Awards in 2022.

Stephen Carlin is a Scottish comedian who has been crafting his offbeat world for decades, even if his earliest creative ventures, from failed school magazines to dubious claims about inventing the mockumentary, were more heroic in ambition than execution. After moving to London in 2001 in search of “something,” he discovered stand-up the following year and quickly became a unique voice on the circuit, performing nationwide and developing a distinct blend of sharp writing and eccentric perspective. His scripted work includes the BBC radio series Gus Murdoch’s Sacred Cows, a project he remains particularly proud of. Now based in London, Carlin continues to write, perform, and stubbornly refuse to ask for directions, even when thoroughly lost.

SCHEDULE

Doors open at 7pm, giving you plenty of time to grab some drinks before the shows start at 8pm. Don't forget, happy hour is from 7pm until 7:30pm. We end at 10:30pm and close at 11pm.

• Advance Tickets: Available online. If you prefer to buy tickets at the door, arrive early to avoid disappointment as spaces are very limited. Door tickets are only available if we are not sold out online or if there are no-shows.
