About

Galway songwriter Jamie McIntyre has been riding the crest of a wave this past year with his viral smash hit single “Over Galway Town” amassing over 5 million streams on Spotify, sitting amongst some of the world’s biggest artists in the viral charts.

Last year, the singer was selected by Gavin James to join him as support in Paris on his European tour as part ofThree’s City Stages initiative which also led to him working with Imelda May and performing at Electric Picnic, followed by performances with Liverpool songwriter Jamie Webster on his sold out shows at 3Olympia in Dublin and The Telegraph Building in Belfast.

The success of “Over Galway Town” has seen his music reach to far flung places across the globe and shows no signs of slowing down. He sold out his first headline dates at the beginning of the summer and his recent EP, “Chapter 23”, continues to grow his following with songs like “West is Home” and “Gra” quickly becoming fan favourites, amassing over 250k streams in just its first week of release. “West Is Home” is close to giving McIntyre his second release streaming to hit the million mark.

Now, with a new EP, “For Folk’s Sake” on the horizon, Jamie McIntyre is about to embark on another Irish tour with sold out dates in Whelan’s main room Dublin, Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick and two shows at the Roisin Dubh in his hometown of Galway as well as sold out shows in London and Glasgow to follow.

The new single “You’ve Got It All” is out now and “For Folks Sake” is released on September 26th.
