Solid Grooves’ event at DC10 in Ibiza will have a no-phones policy.

The Michael Bibi and PAWSA project has an 18-week Thursday residency at the club this year from 4th June to 1st October 2026.

Having previously implemented a no-phones policy at past events, the two decided to implement the policy for the entirety of their upcoming residency at the club this year to “remove distractions”.

The policy prohibits photos and videos at all times inside the venue. Solid Grooves said it would share how the policy will be enforced over the coming weeks. They also said their main priority is "the safety of all Groovers, it always has been, it always will be."

In a statement shared on Solid Grooves’ Instagram, Michael Bibi said: "Last year, I tried the concept, trying to recreate the old essence of Ibiza before phones or distractions.

“It was beautiful, I've honestly never felt energy like it, so this year we decided to continue the no-phone policy for the entire season."

The post continues: "We believe in a united dancefloor that feels connected, together and completely at one with the music.

“We want to remove distractions following several successful experiments last year. It's clear to see that this is the right decision for Grooves.

“No phones, just Grooves”

No-phones policies at events have been gaining traction across various scenes over the past few years, with the likes of The Warehouse Project, Jack White, Silk Sonic, and more banning phones at their events, while clubs like Amber’s in Manchester ban them entirely.

The debate has led to people voicing their opinions, saying they should be allowed to do whatever they like with their phones, while others welcome the privacy and immersion that phone bans can bring. Meanwhile, some artists, like Damon Albarn, suggest people won’t go on their phones if your show is interesting enough - dig deeper into the no-phones hype
