This Boxing Day sees Liverpool party starters Circus team up with Desolat for a post-Christmas work out at the decks of Loco Dice.

Taking place for the first time in the stunning Camp and Furnace warehouse space in the Jamaica Street area, Circus's last party of 2011 is in keeping with the sublime year the club has enjoyed overall.

Joining the party this time will be Loco Dice and his Desolat imprint. The German techno typhoon first came to prominence playing ridiculously long sets at Circo Loco as the club broke out from the tribal house sound of its UK stalwarts in the early part of the twenty first century, to dominate the new modern European techno sound.

As his star rose and the bookings rolled in around the globe, he then became the domineering force at the next night to grab the Balearic sunspot by the scruff of its neck at Cocoon, reclaiming the terrace as his own despite the presence of Luciano and Ricardo Vilalobos. Oh, and there is the now traditional closing party set for Carl Cox’s Space soirée; he’s arguably the only DJ to lay a claim to all three of the island’s premier musical outlets. Throw in the highly feted Desolat, pushing his unmistakable hybrid of tough European production values married to off kilter rhythms, and we’re talking about a bona fide star that has been down with Circus for a whopping six years now. Respect is due.

Yousef closes off 2011 in his home-town in equally breathtaking style. He’s spent most of the year hard at work pulling together his sophomore album project, a change in direction from straight up club music that is still waiting to unleash its new concept upon the clubbing fraternity. He’s broken fresh ground in South America and also just returned from a 5 week Australasia tour taking in 14 cities and 7 countries. Much like any other year, it’s seen him pushing forward the epoch of electronica, with recent signings to seminal labels Cecille and Intec showcasing his continued diverse output yet always with one eye on the dance floor.

Support for these two titans comes in the shape of Visionquest darlings Art Department. 2010 was all about that record, ‘Without You’, a strung out paean to love that dripped with sex and seductively grooved rather than pummelled into your sub conscious. It proved to be a watermark moment for dance music, pre-dating the move towards warmer and more love drenched vocals and moods, and Art Department have continued to ride the crest of the wave they helped create.

Desolat are represented by a live show from Guti and DJ action from Tini. Guti, whose live show mixes the free-wheeling jazz ideologies instilled in him as an argentine youth with the rave edges that formed his European tutelage, remains one of Desolat’s most potent draws. And Tini is the German seductress who has quickly become the dependable bastion of Desolat’s musical arm, going on a global tour with Marco Carola and pushing the label’s sound across the planet.

Lewis Boardman, Alex Wolfenden and Scott Lewis all bring the Circus backbone, a trio of talented spinners who straddle house, techno and disco in all its myriad forms, and know the Circus crowd inside out.

The last Circus of the year is looking rather special, and we'd like YOU to be there. To be in with a chance of winning a pair of tickets, just correctly answer the question below.
