Stefano Miele – aka Riva Starr – is all set to smash the Skiddle.com tent at the Wickerman Festival’s Bass Camp apart this Summer. To celebrate, we have a copy of his brand new EP to give away and a limited CD (only 100 copies made) containing rares, remixes and some bootlegs from Riva himself.
The Latin America Trip EP sees the colourful star return to his trademark bouncing grooves, as his inspiration moves south to the Latin peninsula and the highlands of South America.
The first cut: 'Mucho Gusto (from Colombia)' is a slice of pure unadulterated festival fun, rolling bass lines and brass stabs that have seen people jumping up and down from South Korea to the Midlands.
'Vuoi Fumar?' takes us into a festive carnival mood, staged somewhere between the cool of Notting Hill and the fiery heat of the Basque countries.
And last but not least 'La Comparsa'; an underground cut for more chilled moods, like a hot summer afternoon at the Corrida.
Riva has recently been recorded live in Miami (where he closed the Pete Tong Pool Party after the likes of Sharam, James Zabiella, Joris Voorn, Luciano and Richie Hawtin) for the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, and he did a compilation with Pete Tong (Future Underground on Defected). Some big gigs are also coming up this summer and he's currently finishing his next album with some very interesting (but still secret) collaborations.
The EP will be relased on July 12th, just in time to familiarise yourself with it before Riva’s highly anticipated set at The Wickerman Festival. Not only that but we also have a limited CD (only 100 copies) containing rares, remixes and some bootlegs from Riva himself.
To be in with a chance of winning, just answer the question below:
