The family-friendly weekend event is aimed at educating people on witchcraft, offering everything from witch workshops to meditation, spell work, stalls and more.

Organised by a local group of witches called the Coven of Gaia, the festival is one of only a few events aimed at pagans and witches in the UK and is open to those with experience as well as complete beginners or people who just want to learn more.

Set in 80 acres of woodland at the Heart of England Conference & Events Centre in Fillongley, it will take place on the weekend of September 18th and 19th, with events running through the night as well as throughout both days.

The outdoor weekend offers a range of activities that cover a range of interests, including entertainment and sessions for families and children.

For those interested in witchcraft, there will be basic and advanced witch workshops, spell work and divination, as well as night rituals. There will also be sessions aimed at those with a more general interest in spirituality, including tarot readings, runes, divination and meditation and yoga sessions.

Ancient skills will be on display including wood whittling and a blacksmith at work, while entertainment will include fire dancers, birds of prey and a Viking Village for children.

Craft stalls will sell everything from spell supplies to crystals and clothing, and there will be plenty of options to buy food and drink for a full family day out. There is even the opportunity to camp if people want to make a weekend of it.

Organiser Julie Aspinall, from the Coven of Gaia, said: ?When you say the words pagan or witchcraft, people still have certain stereotypes in mind, but we?re keen to educate people and show them that it might not be quite what they imagine.

?This weekend is aimed at everyone, from more experienced witches and pagans to those just starting out on a spiritual path or who want to learn a bit more. And even if you have no interest at all, but just want a fun family weekend, that?s fine too. It?s a place to ask questions, learn a bit more, check out what we do, or just have fun.?
