Robert Hood and the Zenker Brothers at Hope Works

Having welcomed veritable techno titan to headline their second birthday back in November, 'The Wizard' himself Jeff Mills, Hope Works repeat the same trick on January 31st, with another glorious techno feast in the offing.

Leading the charge will be another of Detroit's most pivotal figures, who for the last two decades has been managing one of the scene's most important labels - M-Plant. That man of course is Robert Hood, one of the leading lights in stripped back, refined techno, with his full throttle sets notorious in the techno community.

Whether he's knocking out futuristic driving sounds or gospel inspired techno with his alias Floorplan, Robert Hood's touch never fails to incite rave pandemonium, as seen in his Boiler Room set at Mutek above.

Marco and Dario Zenker, owners of stunning Ilian Tapes imprint join up for one of their rhythmic, energetic sets that explore subtle melody, fractured structures, and pounding dancefloor primed beats (hear that in their track 'Heeman' above), showing the kind of taste that has made their productions and label one of the hottest in the business.
