Through his eclectic production drawing from a whole range of genres, youthful producer Kaytranada has been enjoying massive success of late. He plays Mixmag live at London's Village Underground on Friday October 24th.
The Canadian artist, who's based in Montreal, began producing in his early teens, lending influence from a plethora of genres that range from hip hop to disco. These influences remain evident in his ethereal productions that bandy in the region of experimental electronica, beautifully displayed in his 'At All' track from an earlier EP in his tenure below.
His first success came when he produced a myriad of R&B inspired bootleg remixes of hugely successful artists that included: Missy Elliot, TLC, and Janet Jackson. Building on early exposure, Kaytranada released various EPs before his debut album Kaytra To Do landed last year, check out 'Killa Cat' from that one below.
His talents have recently been snapped up by giant imprint XL recordings. The star will release a new EP through them later on this year, anticipated to be another genius working if the Canadian's cutting edge wizardry is to be repeated once more. Grab your tickets here.
