Gora Gora Liverpool returns in full force with a lineup that will take you into 2012 with grace, attitude and remembrance... It was only right bring to you and our New year Celebrations two of our local techno legends who have brought more beats and rhythms to our musical souls and of course the streets of Liverpool & Leeds...

Gora Gora is pleased to announce Mike Humphries (Mastertraxx) & Steve Sheils (Voodoo) will be stepping up to embrace the crowd at Liverpool newest and most talked abut techno event.

Mike Humphries has been responsible for supplying some serious vinyls since the early 90's, and over the years has recorded on many labels.

His first productions were co-written, under the name of D. Kontrol with Jon Nuccle, and were released on the Belgium labels, 2 Thumbs, Mineral and Growth which were all the in-house labels of Frank De Wulf, one of the original creators of the European techno sound at the back end of the 80's)

Since then, mixes have been created for various artists and labels, including Glenn Wilson on Planet Rhythm, Heroes, Aphrohead (aka Felix Da House Cat) on Bush Records (Area 51 mix), Thomas Krome's Bitches from Hell on Corb (Cold Dust mix).

Mike has concentrated more on producing tracks for his own labels. Punish, the sleazy sounds of dirty Techno, raw and pumping. Together with Glenn Wilson, Mike has created some memorable vinyl, bringing a truly unique label, that for many was the start of a new sound in techno at that point.

After releasing and working with along side some serious game players in the tehno production scene Mike left and made way for his most recent project, Mastertraxx, which began in 2004. This again is a label for the techno purists looking for the underground club buzz and is still going today stronger then ever with artist such a.paul on board.

Steve Sheils needs no introduction to his dedication and commitment with the legendary night club Voodoo. Formed in April 1993 Voodoo became the star of the 90s with its unremitting underground stance, centered around high quality techno, house & acid house music from the worlds best djs. The Voodoo residents roster included David Homles, Dave Clarke, Billy Nasty, James Ruskin, Robert Hood, Joey Beltram, Speedy J to name a few.. Steve still dedicates his time to techno and its a honour to have him on board.

As well as two top acts for as a little as five pounds, Gora Gora brings to you the co-owners & residents of the event Alisha Lawler and Matt Duncan. They came togther after being asked to help out and promote a new venue that opened up to the public in August.
