Live From Jodrell Bank: Transmission 001 has now totally sold out, with Wave Machines and Professor Brian Cox joining the line-up.

Adding to the already out-of-this-world line up, synth-pop Liverpudlians Wave Machines join The Flaming Lips, British Sea Power, Ok Go and Alice Gold on Saturday 2nd July 2011.

Also confirmed to appear is star gazing TV sensation Professor Brian Cox, who'll be reprising his pop star roots to join British Sea Power on keyboards. No stranger to the stage, Brian Cox played keyboard with dance/pop outfit D:Ream in the nineties before making particle physics sexy with his BBC programme Wonders of the Solar System.

Creating pop-driven indie peppered with electronic beats and synthesizers, Wave Machines are the perfect addition to the other-worldly sounds that are set to radiate from the base of the Lovell Telescope this summer at Jodrell Bank. Awarded an Independent Music Award for Best Dance/Electronica song with their single Keep The Lights On, Wave Machines’ sound aligns perfectly with the eccentric offerings of The Flaming Lips, British Sea Power and Alice Gold.

Demand for this unique show at the stunning location has been huge. Live From Jodrell Bank Transmission 001 went on sale only three weeks ago, and is now completely sold out.

But if you missed out, never fear, as details of further transmissions will be announced over the next few months.
