Hi everyone

Now we have the perfect weather for a perfect weekend! Let's hope it stays that way and we can leave the brollies at home!

Here is email number 3 rounding up who is appearing at the festival this year.

Hayseed Dixie - headliner Sunday (19.30). They have sold over 500,000 records worldwide since the release of their first album 'A Hillbilly Tribute to AC/DC'. The band performs a mixture of cover versions of hard rock songs and original compositions in a style that is a unique fusion of bluegrass and rock music and are acknowledged as the creators of the musical genre "rockgrass". Among others, BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine is a fan of their work and originally championed them at national radio in the UK. The group wrote and recorded the "When you wanna hear great music..." jingle for his daily radio show! A promise of a great fun finish to the festival!

Gerry McAvoy's Band Of Friends - Sunday (17.45). Celebrating the music of the late, great Rory Gallagher! The Band Of Friends is not a tribute to Rory, more of a celebration of his life and music. Rory’s music reached a massive audience, covering all parts of the globe and producing some of the greatest rock/blues albums of the 60's, 70's and the 80's. Gerry McAvoy’s Band Of Friends is the closest line-up to the original band. Gerry played bass guitar with Rory for 20 years; from 1971 to 1991 and Ted McKenna (drums) played with Rory from 1977 to 1981. The line-up is completed with Marcel Scherpenzeel (guitar) who Gerry is quoted as saying ‘This is the closest guitarist to Rory you will ever hear’; fine praise indeed. A must for all Rory fans!

Grainne Duffy - Sunday (16.00). Grainne Duffy hails from Co. Monaghan, Ireland, and she is a unique talent. She is both raw and powerful, edgy and elegant. Her music has been described as a "powerhouse of soul and inspiration mixed with desire and passion". Her wonderful mix of blues rock and soul in her original material and her treatment of a few carefully selected standards charged with true emotion and feeling can win over any audience and leave you begging for more. It is not often a rare honest talent like this comes along but when it does it is instantly recognisable and must be appreciated. Not to be missed!

Jay Tamkin Band - Sunday (14.30). “Jay Tamkin is one of the finest blues based musicians performing in the UK today. He has developed a large array of inventive and excellently crafted songs while his live show demonstrates his explosive skills on guitar and keyboards” - Blues Matters Magazine. In an era when guitar heroes have made a strong comeback, Jay Tamkin isn’t about to make his pitch solely as a guitarist. Playing many instruments, you will often see him playing Lapjack, drums, guitar, bass & keys. A multidirectional, multi-talented singer/songwriter!

The Idle Hands - Sunday (13.00). Championed as “Britain’s Best Unsigned Blues-Rockers” by Classic Rock Blues magazine in September 2012, The Idle Hands have recently been picking up similar accolades from several other high profile publications with such praise as “a must see live” and “not to be missed”. Based in Chesterfield UK since 1989, this hard working, long established 4 piece have 6 high quality CD’s under their belts and passionately present captivating live performances of raw original blues rock with their own unique, distinctive style and sound heavily inspired by the likes of Hendrix, Zeppelin & Gallagher. Nominated finalists in the 2012 British Blues Awards ‘Best Song’ category, highly praised by respected Blues musician and broadcaster Paul Jones, championed by Rick Wakeman with airplay on Planet Rock Radio and finalists in Classic Rock High Voltage Festival ‘unsigned bands’ contest 2011 the success story is building.

Laurence Jones - Sunday (12.00). Laurence Jones and his Band play a blend of Blues and Rock with a groovy and catchy modern edge. They have taken the Blues scene in the UK by surprise. There is a big buzz about this young man - “Laurence Jones is head boy of the new Blues breed” quoted Classic Rock Magazine. A class act to kick off Sunday's music.
