February 2008 saw an event which encapsulated everything good in the clubbing world to date. Goodgreef's farewell Tall Tree's event saw a GGTT record number of you come out to bid a fond goodbye to a collaboration which has born some truly epic nights. With the possible closure of one of the UK's undoubtedly best venues imminent the outlook was bleak for the North East's hedonistic faithful, however...........

The venue didn't close, new owners swept in and seeing the potential in this behemoth of venue decided to refurbish and give the old girl a new lease of life and what brand would compliment such a transformation?....Goodgreef of course.

Nearly a year down the line and we are still inundated with requests to return to a venue considered by many as one of the best GG has ever called a home. Now to mark this reunion properly takes a special night so for the first time ever we take over the entirety of the vast and now improved complex for an arena style show, featuring 3 rooms of choice - Goodgreef', Goodgreef Xtra Hard' & the return of The Goodgreef House Party'. Whether you be an old school GGTT goer or you are joining us for the first time bring your best party face and celebrate our return home, be prepared for a big one......

For the Goodgreef main room we decided to go superstar, and they don't come much bigger than Paul van Dyk. For the last decade few names have been so credible, produced at such a level and literally taken the global scene by storm. Being crowned No1 DJ in the world is no small feat either. Greg Downey newly crowned 82, in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll an amazing achievement for a young artist whose productions have gained plaudits from the biggest talents in his scene. John Askew, Discover Records own has a name which is recognised and revered where ever he plays. On his North East and Goodgreef debut Jochen Miller steps up to show why he is being tagged as the next big thing from Holland working closely with Be Your Self' and Black hole' records. Local boys Matt Everson and James Alexander go b2b and Wes Hutchinson finishes the line up.

On the Goodgreef Xtra Hard side heading the bill for the harder side of the evening in the Glorious Tall Trees ballroom we have the Tidy Boys the enigmatic front men of their whole generation. International talent is something of a given at a GG event now and it is one of your favourite returning the Dutch destroyer Luna will be raining down the Hardstlye. Radio 1 and Goodgreef's floorfiller Kutski is set to light the night up with his technical showcase. Mr Awsum himself Andy Whitby and the hard house honey that is Amber D return to GG. The dynamic duo The Organ Donors finish the line up off with local hard jockey Steely. The Goodgreef House Party returns with Toddy, Mick Lindsay, Martin Grant, Digital Whore, Casa Mia and Jay Dee.
