Goldie comes to Gorilla

Manchester based exponents of rabble-rousing beats and bass - Just Skank, head to the Gorilla rave den as part of the summer long 'Vacation' series.

Heading up Just Skank's summer bass spectacular will be none other than drum n bass stalwart GOLDIE, who alongside MC GQ and a line up of inspired local junglists will be responsible for putting together an unforgettable, bass-fueled barnstormer.

This will be the first Just Skank appearance for Goldie - one of the most formidable and at times controversial musicians on the scene, responsible for widening the scope of drum n bass like no one else before him.

His gift as a producer gave birth to one of the most seminal drum n bass albums ever - 'Timeless' (stream above), an accurately named long player that combined splashes of jazz, classical, and hardcore rave into enduring high tempo, adrenaline pumping classics - an album that is still heavily referenced in today's ever evolving bass music movement.

His appearance alongside MC GQ will see the Metalheadz boss dig deep into his extensive record collection, deploying a barrage of bone crushing classics, bleeding edge bangers and apocalyptic hellraisers delivered in his own inimitable style.

Support comes on the night from two of Manchester's finest bass connoisseurs - raver and drum n bass obsessive Danny Intro and Hit & Run main man Rich Reason, who will be joined by MCs Logic and T-Man respectively.
