Fancy escaping the city this August Bank Holiday and losing yourself in a magical wonderland of arts and music? Limetree Festival 2011 might be just the ticket.

A magical backdrop of rolling hills, ancient woodland and wild flower meadows in the heart of Yorkshire provides the perfect setting for a festival which promises a return to the good old days of festival going.

With three days of music, art, fashion, film and culture, The Limetree Festival is an indulgent treat for all the senses, with the gorgeous festival site even including its own stone circle and iron-age round house.

The eclectic and expansive line-up spans numerous genres and features a diverse range of up and coming home-grown talent playing alongside some of the best musical and artistic pioneers of all time.

Live performances by the likes of Carleen Anderson & Ronnie Scott’s All Stars, Transglobal Underground and Submotion Orchestra will be accompanied by DJ sets from Zero 7 and Andy Smith from Portishead in one field whilst in another Joy Scouts A social nation present the Dance Music Therapy Village. This area will have acts including Robert Owens live, DJ Mark Farina (Mushroom Jazz set), Mr C, 10 Years of secretsundaze with Giles Smith and James Priestley, 20 years of Back to Basics with residents and Dave Beer’s The Blessed live, dBridge and DJ E.A.S.E from Nightmares on Wax, to name just a few.

As well as the music, Limetree 2011 offers a range of other activities including a 'consciousness cinema', relaxation zone, live art exhibitions, talks from guest speakers, music and art workshops and fantastic camping facilities featuring a luxury Soul Pad village and PapaKata tents.

The Limetree Festival’s ethos is to create a groovy, green and serene environment that puts the art into party with a 'leave only footprints' attitude.
