This Friday, (21st November), will mark the opening of a brand new Wes Anderson exhibition, 'Wes Anderson: The Archives'. The opening comes after the success of Tim Burton's exhibition, which saw an extension after welcoming a record number of fans. Running through til Sunday, July 26 2026, 'Wes Anderson: The Archives' will take place in West London's Design Museum.

The exhibition will take a look at the director's career and will mark the first retrospective look at Wes Anderson. With work from his first filming experiments all the way up to his most recent pictures.

With pieces that tell a tale of his career, including Wes Anderson’s spiral-bound notebooks, to gain insight into his creative process, the exhibition will also feature items from films such as Max Fischer’s Swiss army knife from Anderson’s first film, and the spectacular model of The Grand Budapest Hotel. Plus, with a stop motion section, you'll be able to see the original puppets used in Fantastic Mr Fox and Isle of Dogs.

The unique exhibition will also have a full 14-minute screening of Bottle Rocket, the short film created in 1993 and featuring Owen Wilson. Aiming to explore Wes Anderson's impact on the modern world of cinema and his impeccable cinematography, head to the Design Museum's website to find out more information.
