100 Fables were born from a shared love of the new wave movement and their passion for the '80s new wave and post punk electro sound.

The four-piece effortlessly combine all of these influences into a powerful high-octane mix that follows in the steps of the acts that have inspired them, such as Blondie, Altered Images, Gerard Way, The Cars, Le Tigre and The Killers, but firmly sounds like nothing else but 100 Fables.

The four-piece made their mark on 2015, with a show-stealing appearance at the Party In The Palace festival and a well-received launch for their debut single Future Girl, before rounding it off with a storming support slot with the Bay City Rollers at their sold-out reunion gig at the legendary Glasgow Barrowland.

100 Fables' new single Metropolis sees the young band take another massive step towards those bigger stages where they so rightly belong. A glorious blast of rocked-up electropop, it's another perfect pop gem that sums up everything that is fresh and exciting about 100 Fables. Excited about the new release, Lyndsey said: "The universal meaning to Metropolis for me is celebrating the randomness of life and enjoying the unpredictable and unexpected nature of the beast that it is. Living for every moment. You can be as weird and different as you want to be but everyone deserves, and can have, happiness, even if you?re not expecting it."

The song is bursting with positivity and optimism, but given that it came from a dark place, it has an edgy undercurrent setting it apart from your average upbeat pop song. Lyndsey said: "Lyrically I wrote this as an anti-lament to inspire people who were in the same position as me 3 years ago. I had been thoroughly broken and cancelled out any optimism to find that bond us humans long for. As they say, it?ll find you when you stop looking, and as cliché as that is it truly did. The person you didn?t think existed strolls through the void and that?s when you realize all the pain you?ve felt was worth it cause you?ve found that strange, weird, talented, loving, crazy, perfect person that fits your puzzle perfectly."
