Review of Thirty - 3 Decades of Dance

Amazing night, brilliant vibes.excellence venue.....

first things first the main room event was great, as was the upstairs, good DJ's - third room was a ghost town though. It seemed therefore that it had been promoted sufficiently. Atmosphere was affected considerably. 
We paid VIP but there was no VIP queue so we joined the main one. Once we got to the front there were no VIP passes (the need could have been anticipated since I'd asked the staff about VIP before being advised to join the general queue). we then had to wait until more were found. This meant people who'd not paid VIP then got in before us.  The VIP bar had limited stock, no tonic. There was no point in having paid for VIP.
quite a few of the side elements were oversold - food market was one stall (a bit tired too), dancers.
The MC's were questionable IMO but then some ppl like them. Think Tall Paul told him to stop which i was happy with.
this has influenced my feedback on both the prices & venue.

The night wasn't exactly how it was advertised. There was supposed to be 5 arenas, but actually you had the main room and the Open Air terrace? The other room didn't open till 1? Strange to close off that room and have a freezing cold area open instead? There were supposed to be live acts, performers, food trucks? Didn't see any of that. I can't imagine all the advertised djs played either with only 2 rooms open? The music at the beginning was a bit flat, not really music through the 30 years I've been clubbing.  Saying that tho, when AJ Gibson came on and played a cracking trance set, followed by Tall Paul, I did find the rest of the night from there enjoyable.
