Review of Sonic Wave Festival 2025

This year's festival wasnt as good as last year. It was great that the carpark was onsite (not having to walk down the side of the field or road to get back to the car was great), and the music held inside (we were lucky with the weather, but if raining it would have worked well), but a few things let it down this year. The site plan and info said food stalls, plural, but there was only the onsite cafe, and their offerings whilst ok, did not really cater for gluten free or vegan, unless you just wanted chips. The coffee offerings were nice though. There was no local postcode discount this year, or drinks tokens to be bought with your tick*ts. And the drinks onsite were much more expensive, whilst £6.50 for a pint isn't extortionate for festival prices, compared to last year's deal it was a lot. There seemed to be a lot of marshalls,  and attendants onsite,  but the toilets were not kept clean or stocked with toilet roll, there wasnt even a stack of spares etc. The bands were all great, although might have been better to have Oasis last as more people knew more of their songs. Same issue as last year, maybe the wooden benches could have been set up nearer the stage so the bands werent performing to a half empty arena infront of them, pushing the seating further forwards would create more of an atmosphere earlier in the day. And still charging £30 on the door even when asked about coming down for the evening seemed very steep, think they missed out on some revenue there. Overall still a nice day out, and appreciated all the bands, but was definitely not to the standard of last year, apart from the parking and being under cover.

Would have been 5 stars all the way if the Camping field was in better condition, barely any grass, very muddy, (glad it didn't rain)and quite bumpy, bits of old broken buck*ts and rubble dotted about and I feel the campers were pitched too close together. Otherwise an excellent weekend and will definitely return next year

Great event with some good tribute acts. 

Come to see Queen who was excellent last year, camping wasnât as good this year but if you get the field across for next year it will be great. Overall a great little festival would come to more but already pre booked for the next one on 19th
