There's so many amazing festivals out there but it can be difficult to work out which festivals you're going to attend. There are two artists with this name:
1) Gojira is a metal band from Bayonne, France. Their lyrics focus on life, ecology, and spiritual themes. They were formed in 1996 by brothers Joe Duplantier (vocals and lead guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar) and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass guitar). Genres that they have been associated with over their career include death metal, progressive metal, thrash metal and groove metal.
They had initially named their group Godzilla, but due to legal constraints had to change their name. They therefore chose to re-name their band Gojira - the original Japanese version of their name (in Japanese Gojira means gorilla-whale or gorilla the size of a whale). Some of the content of their music is focused on the ecological effects of human activity on the Earth.
Joe and Mario Duplantier also play in an experimental metal band called Empalot.
In 2007 Joe also became the bass player for former Sepultura members Max and Igor's new project, Cavalera Conspiracy.
2) Gojira is also George Dorin Andreescu, He makes you dance like crazy and fall in love with music once again, truly confident with his public and flexible to the particular audience. And, as every big entertainer, he cares and has a magical interaction with the dance floor people. Ladies and gentlemen�.this is Gojira! Performing on stage since 2005, both at several indoor and outdoor venues all over Romania and some abroad. He is also present at the popular festivals in Romania.
He mostly love and perform bass, but he’s also pretty much influenced by house, techno, breakbeat and dubstep. He played among artists like: Tricky, Adam Freeland, Annie Nightingale, Dj Food, Plump Djs, Stanton Warriors, Slyde, Soul of Man, Ed Solo, Aquasky, Black Sun Empire, Nero, Noisia.
