Nuremberg might not be the first place to look when in search for vibrant electronic music scenes. But, don’t be fooled, there’s a lot happening beneath the radar. Pulsar puts the Franconian city on the map with thoughtfully curated events and festivals that have established a nationwide following with well regarded and hotly tipped raves. What started out with all the best intentions – a group of friends throwing non-commercial parties purely for the fun of it – now brings an assorted line-up that represents the diverse Pulsar style, marked by agile and breezy hybrids of house and techno. And that’s a contemporary, socially diverse and musically multifaceted mix of all the great things bubbling in the electronic dance music scene right now.

There’s still a long way to go for Bavaria when it comes to diversity, equality and the recognition of electronic dance music culture and Pulsar works hard to build an infrastructure and community in Nuremberg that supports and fights for these important social issues.
