Accelerate Festival takes place Saturday 26th September 2026 - Opens 1pm - Closes 11pm (6pm last entry)

Accelerate Festival is held at Gateshead International Stadium in Gateshead.

Yes, you must be 18+ to attend Accelerate Festival. You may require ID to enter.

There are no pass-outs at Accelerate Festival.

All bars at Accelerate Festival will accept cash or card for drinks. Food vendors & stalls will also accept both.

There will be lockers at Accelerate Festival, look for the Go Hangers Cloakroom.

Yes, but be aware that all bags will be searched upon entry to Accelerate Festival.

The following are strictly prohibited at Accelerate Festival:

- Aerosols (Inc: Deodorant, Air Horns)

- Alcohol/Food

- Cameras (DSLR etc, Compact Cameras are fine!)

- Children Under 18 (Leave these with Nan)

- Illegal Drugs (Inc: Powders, Legal Highs, Poppers, Nitrous Oxide)

- Glass

- Chairs

- Drones

- Umbrellas

- Selfie Sticks

- Flag Poles (Flags Okay!)

- Masks / Face Garments (PPE is okay)

- Explosives (Inc: Blowtorches, Fireworks, Flares / Smoke Bombs, Lanterns)

- Firearms, Weapons, Sharp Objects

Accelerate Festival is held on a flat field with disabled toilets.  

Please notify the organisers beforehand if you are on crutches or in a wheelchair so they can greet you at the gate and assist with queues (info@dancegenevents.co.uk).  

Please be aware, the location is a greenspace park and as such the main area of the festival is only accessible by entering the grass field. Please make your carer aware beforehand so you are prepared for every eventuality.

The organisers actively encourage public transport. The 21 and 93 busses will get you from Newcastle city centre to Accelerate Festival, or you can get the green or yellow tram. Using buses or the tram will take less than 30 mins from the city centre.

The Accelerate Festival entrance is accessed from Neilson Road. The festival site is part of the Gateshead Stadium grounds. You can find the festival site field by following the path around the stadium and then turning right, there will be signage and stewards to direct you along the way.

Yes, there will be tickets at the Accelerate Festival Box Office. Save a few quid by purchasing online in advance!

Yes, if the VIP is not sold out, so organisers may only have limited upgrades. Head to the Accelerate Festival Box Office on the day... this will cost you £20 per upgrade.
