Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival is one of the North East’s biggest beer and cider festivals, and probably the best. An annual event, it takes place at Tynedale Park in Corbridge, the home of Tynedale Rugby Football Club. Over three days in June we bring you the best beers and ciders that the region and the UK have to offer, along with great wine, food and live music.
The festival is a joint venture between Tynedale Lions Club and Tynedale Rugby Football Club. Its purpose is to raise money for good causes. The event is organised by a committee representing both clubs. The organising team and helpers are all volunteers who give their time and effort free of charge to ensure the festival is a success.
Unlike many other beer festivals, Tynedale use pumps to deliver the beer because it’s quicker and produces a good head. They also use coolers to keep the beer at the right temperature – particularly important in the summer.
The festival will have a separate food marquee linked to the main marquee, with different foods on offer, including vegetarian options. We will update with further details soon.
All children up to the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Children up to 16 years old are admitted free on the Saturday from 1 pm till 6 pm.

The history of Tynedale Beer & Cider Festival
The festival started in a modest way back in 2002. Since then it has gone from strength to strength, growing in size and popularity and raising over £450,000 in the process.
Although not an official CAMRA beer festival they do receive a lot of help and advice from members of the local branch, to whom we are very grateful.
