The Belper Jazz Company presents Steve Waterman at No.28.

Co-author of the highly regarded "THE JAZZ METHOD FOR TRUMPET," Steve premiered his Concerto For Jazz Trumpet and Orchestra in 2019. In 2021, he collaborated with Paul Hazel on the EP "Out Of This World With Sun Ra." He also recorded the Daryl Runswick trumpet concerto with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in 2022.

Steve has been featured on Ben Crosland's albums and toured extensively with Threeway, appearing on BBC Radio 3's "In Tune." In May 2025, he was a guest soloist at the Cape Town Big Band Festival, performing his new composition, "Ann’s African Odyssey."

Currently, Steve performs with his Latin Jazz Quartet and a Miles Davis tribute with his regular quartet and big band. He is a dedicated educator, teaching jazz trumpet, composition, and arranging at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and conducting master classes worldwide.
