Biography

Whinnie Williams made her debut earlier this year with the enchanting self-released track, ‘You Don’t Love Me’.

The video that accompanied it perfectly presented her unique vision– fusing a faded seaside town with elements of sixties Parisian chic in a style that echoed the absurdity of Wes Anderson. Depicting a love story between two dogs (one of whom is played by Whinnie’s own poodle, Brian), it set tongues wagging about the talented Miss Williams.

Behind ‘Whinnie’ is Jade Williams – formerly known as Sunday Girl. Unsigned, she’s put together a record with the help of producers Future Cut., she always wanted to do a project that was really French – that had a bit of The Cardigans crossed with a Brigitte Bardot . Coco Chanel vibe. Kitsch but also quite modern, really Parisian and girly. The twist comes from time spent writing in Hastings where her dad has a caravan. She wrote a lot there and the videos were all shot in Hastings as well. The classic British Seaside where Brigitte Bardot lives in a caravan The story continues in new single 'Break Hearts In Our Sleep'.
