The River are a doom metal band from Croydon/South London, formed in 1999, working primarily in doom metal with alternative and post-rock elements, with lyrical themes centered on depression, personal feelings, and relationships. The band came together when Chris Leitch, Daniel Tibbs and Steve Morrissey formed it in early 1999, with Feizal later joining on second guitar for their first two demo
